How to Use a Pinterest Downloader to Create High-Impact Mockups in Minutes
We’d argue that sometimes the presentation of your work matters more than the work itself. Why? Because mockups make ideas feel real.
A good mockup shows how something works or at least how it would look in the real world. Too often, presentations just float a UI in space or slap a label next to a product with no context.
That’s why strong mockups aren’t optional. In our experience, there are three solid ways to get them:
Free mockups (you’ll find a list below)
Generate them yourself using AI + a bulk Pinterest downloader
Today, we’re diving into option three.
DIY Mockups with AI (and a Pinterest Downloader)
If you’re making a mockup, you already have a design file. What you need next is reference material lighting, textures, angles. Pinterest is gold for that, but only if you can grab everything fast.
Once you’ve collected your visuals, you’re ready.
And yeah shameless plug if you want to download entire Pinterest boards in one go, we built Unpinned for exactly that. A clean browser extension. 50 pins per day for free.
The Prompt Framework
Now drop those reference images into your AI tool of choice. For us, that’s ChatGPT since it lets us upload up to 10 images at once.
Here’s a prompt template to get started:
Take the images I’ve provided as visual references. Don’t just copy what’s in them instead, capture the vibe and feeling. Use details like materials, lighting setups, textures, colors, and composition to create a background that matches the overall aesthetic.
Once you’ve generated the mockup, just open it in Photoshop (or your tool of choice), remove the green screen, and drop in your design.
That’s it. You’ve got a fast, flexible, brand-aligned mockup.
This Works for More Than Just Phones
Posters, packaging, signage whatever.
The goal is to experiment and play. The more you do this, the easier it becomes to generate your own visual playground for client work or personal projects.
