Looking for how to make Pinterest dark mode on your computer? Here's the thing: Pinterest doesn't have dark mode on desktop. It works on mobile (follows your system settings), but on the web? Nothing.

Get Unpinned Darkmode
Install it for your browser:

Once installed, Pinterest will follow your system's dark mode setting. Or open the extension to switch between themes manually.
How Unpinned Darkmode Works
Automatic mode: Unpinned Darkmode checks your system preference. If your computer is in dark mode, Pinterest goes dark. Switch to light mode, Pinterest goes light.
Manual themes: Open the extension from your toolbar. Pick from dark, light or colored themes. Your choice sticks until you change it.
Where's the extension icon? Look in the top right of your browser. Can't see it? Click the puzzle piece icon, find Unpinned Darkmode, and pin it to your toolbar.
Why Pinterest Doesn't Have Desktop Dark Mode
Pinterest has supported dark mode on mobile for years – your iPhone or Android just needs to be in dark mode, and Pinterest follows along. But on desktop? No official option. You're stuck with the white interface unless you use an extension.
Unpinned Darkmode fills that gap. Install it, and Pinterest matches your system preference. Dark system = dark Pinterest. Light system = light Pinterest. Or override it manually if you want dark mode all the time.
